Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2 32-bit Volume License Official ISO Download (CD2 Components Disc, X13-13895) with Verified SHA-256
If you’re looking for a clean, complete, unmodified official Windows Server 2003 R2 components disc ISO, you’ve come to the right place.
Windows Server 2003 R2 shipped on two discs: CD1 installs the complete operating system (with SP2 integrated), while CD2 — this download — is the R2 add-on components disc. Once the OS is installed, all of R2’s signature features live on this disc. This is the genuine Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP2, Simplified Chinese, Volume License (VL), 32-bit, Disc 2 media (part number X13-13895), complete with a PowerShell-verified SHA-256 hash proving every byte matches Microsoft’s official media.
CD2 cannot install the OS on its own: it is not a setup disc and generally isn’t bootable. The correct order is to install Windows Server 2003 SP2 first using CD1 (X13-46432), then insert this CD2 from within the running system and follow the prompts to add the R2 components.
What’s on CD2?
Mounting CD2 lets you add these R2-only server roles and components:
- DFS Replication (DFS-R) — the new multi-master file replication service replacing FRS, with Remote Differential Compression (RDC) for bandwidth-efficient synchronization across sites and branch offices
- File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) — directory quotas, file screens (block by file type) and storage reports
- Print Management — centrally manage all print servers and printers across the enterprise
- Services for NFS — file-sharing interoperability with UNIX/Linux systems
- Identity Management for UNIX, the SUA subsystem and other utilities
In short: CD1 without CD2 gives you “Server 2003 SP2 with an R2 key” — none of the R2 features are available. The two discs are a matched pair.

Verified SHA-256 Hash
The following hash was generated locally using PowerShell Get-FileHash on the complete file — not copied from a website. This ensures every byte of your download is identical to the official media:

Get-FileHash .\cn_win_srv_2003_r2_enterprise_with_sp2_vl_cd2_X13-13895.iso -Algorithm SHA256If the output matches the hash above, your file is intact. If it doesn’t, delete the file and download again.

Usage and Installation Notes
- CD1 first, then CD2: after installing the OS from CD1 and logging in, mount this ISO in your VM and run the R2 upgrade installer on the disc; you may be prompted for the VL key again.
- Always use a virtual machine: Windows Server 2003 is completely out of support with no security updates. Never deploy it on physical hardware or expose it to the public internet. VMware Workstation, VirtualBox or Hyper-V all work — take a snapshot afterwards.
- Verify both discs: CD2 is small (just 124MB), but R2 features cannot be installed without it. Still take two minutes to verify its SHA-256 hash.
- Keep them as a pair: CD1 is X13-46432 and CD2 is X13-13895 — both Simplified Chinese, VL, 32-bit, Enterprise. Store them in the same folder to avoid mixing editions later.
- Licensing: VL media must be used with a legitimate volume license agreement and keys your organization owns.
Why “Official Untouched” Matters
Many third-party “all-in-one” repacks merge CD1 and CD2 into a single image. Convenient at first glance, they may:
- Add or remove components arbitrarily and bundle adware or backdoors
- Break DFS-R, FSRM and other roles during the sloppy merge process
- Replace system files with no verifiable hash, making the source untraceable
- Create reproducibility landmines in server labs and legacy environments
For labs and legacy maintenance, knowing the media is byte-for-byte identical to Microsoft’s official release directly determines whether your results are reproducible. The genuine two-disc set plus verifiable SHA-256 hashes is the only reliable route.
