Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2 64-bit Volume License Official ISO Download (CD1, X13-47314) with Verified SHA-256
If you’re looking for a clean, complete, unmodified official 64-bit Windows Server 2003 R2 ISO, you’ve come to the right place.
Windows Server 2003 R2, released in late 2005, extended Server 2003 with File Server Resource Manager (FSRM), DFS Replication (DFS-R), updated Print Management and UNIX interoperability components. This post provides the genuine Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition x64 with SP2, Simplified Chinese, Volume License (VL), 64-bit, Disc 1 media (part number X13-47314), complete with a PowerShell-verified SHA-256 hash proving every byte matches Microsoft’s official media.
About the x64 edition: this is a native 64-bit build for the AMD64/Intel 64 architecture, supporting far more physical memory than the 32-bit release (up to 1TB in Enterprise Edition) — suitable for large databases and memory-intensive legacy workloads. It is a different image from the 32-bit version; the two are not interchangeable.
About CD1 / CD2: R2 shipped on two discs — CD1 (this download) is the OS setup disc with SP2 integrated; CD2 contains the R2 add-on components (DFS-R, FSRM and more) and is mounted after setup to install the R2-specific features.
Who Is This Version For?
- IT professionals and learners — recreate a classic 64-bit Windows server environment in a VM to practice Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS 6.0, DNS/DHCP and other traditional enterprise services
- Legacy system maintainers — certain 64-bit industrial software, old ERP systems and SQL Server 2005 x64-era database applications still depend on this runtime
- OS collectors — genuine 64-bit VL media (part number X13-47314), rarer than the common 32-bit images
- Large-memory lab builders — developers and testers verifying legacy behavior with big memory configurations and the WOW64 32-bit compatibility layer

Verified SHA-256 Hash
The following hash was generated locally using PowerShell Get-FileHash on the complete file — not copied from a website. This ensures every byte of your download is identical to the official media:
0A4023C7AEAE60767BFCD539FB0207D1AA67364E9BC4C53508C8FDF60992A24DTo verify your download, open PowerShell in the folder containing the ISO and run:
Get-FileHash .\cn_win_srv_2003_r2_enterprise_x64_with_sp2_vl_cd1_X13-47314.iso -Algorithm SHA256If the output matches the hash above, your file is intact. If it doesn’t, delete the file and download again.

Before You Install
- Use a virtual machine: Windows Server 2003 has been completely out of support since 2015 with no security updates. Never deploy it on physical hardware or expose it to the public internet. VMware Workstation, VirtualBox or Hyper-V with an immediate snapshot after install are recommended.
- 64-bit guest required: create the VM as a 64-bit guest type (Windows Server 2003 x64) and make sure VT-x/AMD-V is enabled; a 32-bit VM cannot install this image.
- Don’t forget CD2: for the full R2 feature set (DFS-R, FSRM), mount the matching x64 CD2 after the OS installation.
- Volume License required: use a legitimate VL key and licensing agreement your organization owns.
- Always verify the hash: two minutes of verification avoids corrupted downloads or tampered images.
Why “Official Untouched” Matters
Third-party repackaged server builds often come with hidden trade-offs:
- Bundled adware, backdoors or trojans
- Arbitrarily removed 64-bit components or a broken WOW64 subsystem, causing 32-bit applications to fail
- Replaced system files with no verifiable hash, making the source untraceable
- Undebuggable landmines in server labs and business environments
Server operating systems carry business data and services — knowing the image is byte-for-byte identical to Microsoft’s official media matters more than anything. An official ISO plus a verifiable SHA-256 hash is the only reliable route.
